There were eight presentations at the Shopping District and Community Network Subcommittee Meeting, with approximately twenty participants. The presentations at this Subcommittee Meeting were based on the theme of the IAA System. First, we gave a video presentation regarding the IAA System to offer the participants a better understanding of the system. Next, we explained the system, and explained our goals, for example in terms of the standardization of safety confirmation systems. Following is one of the questions received, along with our response.

Q: Won't the IAA System be inaccessible if there is a breakdown in the communication infrastructure?

A: The IAA System incorporates a FAX registration function. By distributing registration forms in disaster regions, then having someone take the collected registration forms outside of the disaster region, safety confirmation information can be registered even if there is a breakdown in the communication infrastructure.
